My fish has an eye infection.
Seriously. My fish looks like one of his/her eyes is pussy. (pussy, not 'a pussy' sick people.)
I have never had fish before, only dogs, and have always brought my sick dog to a vet.
Also, speaking of pussy, I have no clue if my fish is a girl or a boy. How can you tell anyway?
So what does someone do with a fish that clearly has an ailment?
Do they give eyedrops for fish? Does one of us have to hold his/her head down
so the other can put the drops in? (again, sad that I don't know what sex my fish is, but if I had to guess, I'd say a boy...His fins seem really muscular.)
Do we give the fish a flake of food after to praise it for allowing us to put in the medicine?
I'm really stressed about this.
Also, I think my other fish is constipated. I haven't seen him poop in days, and I'm concerned it might be having stomache issues regarding it's friend's eye infection. That fish holds it's stress in it's tummy. (must be female.)
I'll put some prune juice in the tank and see if that helps. If nothing works, I will for sure bring these poor fish to the vet. The vet will for sure know what to do.
